Fashion connections
In his novel Pattern Recognition, he has a character wear a Buzz Ricksons MA-1 in a black colorway the jacket was never sold in. So they gave him his own collection including a black MA-1.
In the last book of his Blue Ant / Bigend trilogy, Zero History, he thanks the founders of Acronym: "Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh introduced me to the architecture of a “secret” brand, and the passion behind it."
He owns a lot of Acronym, including this 3A-1 (2) and this 3a-3TS.
